ProductionEach year, 13,500,000 kg waffles are produced on 6 production lines by 85 employees. The daily production planning is based on the incoming orders. Our waffles are still produced according to a traditional recipe with fresh eggs being the main ingredient, which are delivered on a daily basis. Besides fresh eggs only the finest ingredients are used like wheat flour, sugar, vegetable fat and skimmed milk powder. Our waffles do not contain any preservatives. After aerating the dough, doses of dough are inserted into the the waffle-iron and then baked. After a cooling-off period the waffles are packed and a production code is applied. The waffles are subject to visual inspection to prevent any unsatisfactory products from being packed. All packaging lines are equipped with metal detectors and automatic weight control-units. The waffles are produced on an automated packing line; after placing them in the right carton they are stacked on a pallet and wrapped with stretch foil. Specific customer barcodes can be printed on packs, cartons and pallets as well. Also, track-and-trace information is applied by use of a SSCC (Serial Shipping Container Code). Each day,the waffles are delivered to our Dutch customers as well as to our customers abroad. |
